Inspiration for Image Submissions
An image is worth a thousand words and we are going to use this opportunity to prove just that.
For your submission you will be creating an enchanting and compelling scene that weaves a story into its every pixel.
Something Wicked This Way Comes!
Inspired by the themes of Halloween, these submissions bring mystery and intrigue to life with their depictions of the holiday's phenomena. With visual storytelling at its finest, these images mesmerize and immerse their audience within its pictorial narrative.
You decide what spectacle is taking place within your image. Are trick-or-treaters flooding the streets? Or have the zombies risen from their graves? The exact nature of the event is up to you!
A Twisted Portrait!
For this prompt you will create -well - a portrait of course. But all is not as it seems, something unusual seems to be taking place. But what could it be?
Choose a subject and apply a Halloween themed oddity to them. Has a ghost appeared behind the family? Is the subject a werewolf in mid transformation? The possibilities are endless!
An All-Hallows Landscape!
Ever come across an area that you just swore was haunted? Well, that's the idea behind this prompt. You will be creating a landscape that upon looking at it, you immediately get those eeby-jeeby vibes.
Select a setting to bring to life with an air of eerie energy. Is there a haunted mansion up on the hill? Is their a creepy swamp just on the other side of that fence? The decision rests with you!
Inspiration for Audio Submissions
Every sound holds a story—now it's your moment to create one that speaks to the soul.
For your submission, you'll create a captivating soundscape where each note tells a part of a larger story.
Sounds of the Haunted Night
These submissions immerse the listener in the most spine-chilling and eerie experience. Picture yourself in a haunted house, deep in a dark forest, or wandering through a graveyard at midnight.
Your task is to create an audio piece that evokes fear, curiosity, and excitement — capturing the essence of Halloween in sound.
Whispers in the Dark
This Halloween, the shadows come alive with secrets. We challenge you to create an audio experience that explores the mysterious whispers of the night.
Whether it's a haunted mansion, an ancient crypt, or the depths of a fog-covered swamp, your sounds should invite listeners into a world of haunting mystery.
The Pumpkin Patch Nightmare
In the dead of night, the pumpkin patch hides more than just gourds. Strange sounds echo through the rows of jack-o'-lanterns, and the ground seems to pulse with dark energy.
For these submissions, we want you to bring the eerie life of a cursed pumpkin patch to audio.
Inspiration for Video Submissions
A single frame can tell a thousand stories — and now it's your turn to bring one to life.
For your submission, let your camera show us a tale that unfolds through every frame, shadow, and flicker of light.
The Haunted Frame
Step into a cursed world where the line between the living and the dead is blurred.
For these submissions, your challenge is to create a short video that tells a chilling story through visual atmosphere and eerie elements.
Your video should focus on suspense and supernatural horror, using imagery, lighting, and sound design to bring the fear to life.
The Midnight Ritual
On Halloween night, ancient rituals awaken.
For this prompt, you'll create a video that revolves around a ritualistic, supernatural event.
Whether it's an eerie cult gathering, an ancient summoning, or an otherworldly possession, your video should have a creepy, ritualistic theme that explores the darker side of Halloween.
Behind the Door
What would you do if you heard something scratching... whispering... breathing... behind a closed door?
For this prompt, create a short horror video that revolves around a single, closed door — and the fear of what might be waiting on the other side.
Whether it's in a house, a hallway, a basement, or a forgotten room, use suspense and imagination to build a terrifying (or eerie) story focused on the unseen.
