Crossroads at Twilight

About the Artist
My name is Chloe Kistler, and I am a Graphic Design and Web Development Student here at F.I.R.S.T. . My passion for Graphic Design started fast and the need to learn more has grown even faster. I love finding creative ways to make visuals that connect with people. Whether it is with layouts, colors, or typography- I draw inspiration through everyday life, music and early 2000’s aesthetics. Graphic design has become my favorite way of using my creativity, and I don’t expect it to stop anytime soon!
About the Piece
This image radiates that perfect early-2000s Halloween nostalgia — like something pulled straight from a Goosebumps cover, or the background of a Flash game on AddictingGames.com.
The giant orange moon overlooks the sky, giving off those moody gradients, the witch on her broomstick feels like she’s about to glide across your old monitor, chased by vector bats that look like they were cut from construction paper. The purple-to-orange sky gradient screams spooky desktop wallpaper circa 2004, while the silhouetted trees bring back memories of Halloween clip art and pumpkin-carving stencils you’d print.
Even the crooked wooden signs pointing to “Black Cat Tavern,” “Art Show,” and “Ghostly Graves” feel like they’d belong in an early Club Penguin Halloween Party. It’s got that comforting mix of eerie and playful—the kind of digital eeriness that lived in the era of Haunted Mansion screensavers, creepy MIDI soundtracks, and flashlight games on Miniclip.

About the Piece
In the suffocating stillness of night, a lone figure lies paralyzed in bed—eyes wide with dread, breath caught between worlds. From the shadows above, a monstrous entity emerges, its jagged teeth glinting in the dim light, fur bristling with malevolence. It hovers like a living nightmare, feeding on fear.

About the Artist
This film was brought to life by a small group of very hard working and dedicated artists who above all else possess a desire to produce cinematic films and short films.
About the Piece
A self contained story of horror and suspense sets up the events of one man's dark secret and one woman's unfortunate and untimely incident. An attempt was made to bring a script to life in a short amount of time and with severally limited resources, the product speaks to this.

About the Piece
Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's “The Black Cat,” this piece captures the story's descent into madness, where guilt festers into blinding rage and echoes a mind unraveling beneath the weight of its own deeds. Through the interplay of shadow and flame, it reflects key elements of the tale, providing a visual representation of the narrative.

The Seven Characters of Halloween

Created by: Bryce Vaughan
About the Artist
I'm a 23-year-old graphic design student who takes a lot of inspiration from older animated media (especially from video games and cartoons of the time), and tries to incorporate that into my own creations, wherever possible.
About the Piece
I went with a more lighthearted and cartoony spin on the whole Halloween theme in this one, featuring the seven unnamed characters (the skeleton, ghost, black cat, and Jack-O-Lantern, confronting an evil witch, vampire, and bat). Outside of the wider mix of smaller inspirations (in terms of character choice and such), the only true inspiration I can think of for this one is an earlier, unrelated piece that I drew almost a week prior to this. Other than that, you could say that this was basically improvised.

About the Piece

About the Artist
I'm a fan of all things spooky and mysterious which I enjoy conveying in both photography and writing. Horror has been very influential for me as both a creative and an individual. I particularly enjoy using props and other materials on hand to create visual that express the frightening and humorous nature of the genre. Outside of Horror, I also have a fondness for old architecture, abandoned structures, nature, and sunsets.
About the Piece
A very experimental piece I created during the process of an assignment. It presents a blackened heart where its cruel and malevolence manifests itself as a twisted and grotesque spirit. The items used were a few Halloween props I acquired, a single flashlight, and a pair of false candles which working together created this sight of evil's emergence.

About the Artist
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I’m an audio engineer and sound artist with a lifelong devotion to the power of music. My journey began in the early 2000s with the underground label Beltway 8 Records, where I performed as a rapper and first discovered my passion for making beats. Since then, I’ve worked with numerous talented artists, developing a reputation for creative production and sharp engineering skills. I’ve also had the privilege of sharing the stage with one of my greatest influences, Bizzy Bone, on multiple occasions—moments that fueled my drive to master the art of sound. Today, I merge my technical expertise with a deep spiritual focus through sound therapy, using frequency and vibration as tools for healing and transformation. Every project I take on is driven by the same purpose: to create sound that moves, inspires, and elevates the human spirit.
About the Piece
I created this video to showcase my skills in videography, graphic design, and beat making. The outboard gear that was used to make this beat is a MPC LIVE 2.
